'Caroline's Cart' makes it easier to shop with a child with disabilities

 

About 1.6 million children between the ages of 6 and 14 in the U.S. have a severe disability, according to the Census Bureau. As they grow, a simple task such as grocery shopping can become a formidable challenge.

Parents are forced to fit their child into a shopping cart seat that is too small, have their child lie in the basket of the cart, push their child's wheelchair while pushing a cart or hire a baby sitter.
